[0s] so Dr Doom fights Kane the Conqueror and
[2s] Mephisto in the story and it's amazing
[4s] okay so check this out so this initially
[6s] picks up with something called the
[8s] antleon collider which is basically a
[10s] black hole that's being created on the
[12s] dark side of the moon it's more of a
[13s] controlled black hole it's basically a
[15s] minor Singularity but the reason why
[17s] this is done is because the world or at
[20s] least the scientific community on Earth
[21s] in the Marvel Universe wants to start
[24s] shifting more towards like nuclear power
[25s] different things like that but with all
[27s] the different forms of energy that are
[29s] used the big question that people find
[30s] themselves asking is what do we do with
[32s] all this waste right this energy waste
[34s] that we end up creating is it one of
[36s] these things where we're going to just
[37s] kind of keep on doing what we're doing
[38s] which is driving to the side of a hill
[40s] dumping our trash in the ground and then
[42s] covering it up or are we going to come
[43s] up with something that's a little more
[44s] elegant and more of afitting of our
[46s] technological advancement and so that's
[48s] the idea behind this black hole is to
[50s] literally create a place whereby trash
[52s] can be dumped essentially for Infinity
[54s] right because black holes will break
[56s] everything down on the atomic level and
[58s] it may end up filling up but I mean it's
[61s] it would take an astronomically long
[63s] amount of time in order for that to
[64s] happen the kicker to all this is that
[66s] while these interviews are being done
[67s] with members of the the antleon collider
[70s] Community they're also talking to Doctor
[72s] Doom and they asked him the question
[74s] like what's your stance on this of
[76s] course Doctor Doom being Dr Doom is like
[78s] it's gonna fail right this whole thing's
[80s] being done by Reed Richards as
[81s] intelligent as he is the biggest problem
[83s] Reed Richards has is that he's sloppy
[85s] and because he's sloppy this is going to
[88s] end up failing disastrously now the
[90s] crazy thing about this is that you do
[91s] have this guy named Steve who's one of
[93s] the guys conducting the interview right
[94s] one of these reporters and he literally
[96s] says many believe that you're just upset
[98s] because you were left out on the project
[101s] and it has to be a failure because you
[104s] weren't involved now here's the thing
[106s] right anybody who knows anything about
[107s] Doctor Doom in Marvel Comics knows that
[110s] there are some things you just don't say
[112s] right like pick your battles wisely this
[114s] is one of those because when the
[116s] interview ends Doctor Doom just kind of
[118s] leaves in a huff and then tell tells one
[120s] of his guys bring the reporter Steve to
[122s] me bring that guy to me right like I
[124s] want my hands on that guy he's been
[126s] mouthing off and we need to help Steve
[128s] understand his place in the bigger
[129s] picture and so one of the things that
[131s] kind of goes on here and it's cool is
[133s] that while that's taking place you end
[135s] up having Doctor Doom in his study and
[137s] while he's there he's suddenly met by
[139s] the arrival of King the Conqueror now
[141s] when it comes to King and Dr Doom this
[143s] is one of those things where it's kind
[145s] of you stay away I stay away right in
[147s] the sense that because these two guys
[149s] are kind of distant relations to a
[150s] degree Kang doesn't really do a whole
[152s] lot in terms of intentionally going
[154s] after Victor Von Doom the reason for
[156s] that is that in Marvel Comics it's never
[159s] been fully established if Kane the
[161s] Conqueror is the descendant of Reed
[163s] Richards or the descendant of Victor Von
[165s] Doom but the risk here and even King
[167s] himself doesn't fully know if he were to
[169s] attack Doctor Doom anywhere to kill him
[171s] who could actually prevent his own
[172s] existence from happening and so he
[174s] doesn't really go directly against Dr
[176s] Doom and usually pick a fight although
[178s] the two have fought in the past and the
[180s] fights between Dr Doom and Kang are
[183s] usually amazing like they're some of the
[185s] coolest fights you're ever gonna see
[186s] mostly because it's Kane to conquer
[188s] brandishing all his technology and time
[190s] travel escapades and his Doctor Doom was
[192s] just like the best one-liners ever in
[194s] the history of comic books it's for no
[196s] no I will say apocalypse has better
[198s] one-liners but Doctor Doom has great
[199s] one-liners he's got great lines but it's
[201s] just one of those things but it's also
[203s] because of the fact that Doctor Doom is
[205s] so astronomically intelligent and
[207s] because he's so capable and because his
[210s] lust for power in a lot of ways mirrors
[212s] that of Kang there is a kind of respect
[215s] that is grown between the two also
[217s] because of the fact they've helped each
[218s] other at different points in time and so
[220s] Kang being here is one of those things
[222s] where it's a little mysterious we don't
[224s] really know why he's here in the first
[225s] place the nature of the conversation is
[228s] really more just kind of banter back and
[229s] forth between the two and that's
[231s] basically it and then Kang ultimately
[232s] just sort of teleports away but what
[234s] Doctor Doom ends up doing is does he
[236s] prepares for bed that he actually ends
[238s] up having this vision of of a woman that
[240s] we haven't discovered yet and she and Dr
[243s] Doom have a family right like they have
[245s] a whole full-on family and so Dr Doom
[247s] really kind of going back to his
[249s] quarters right after this sort of
[250s] hallucination which really even takes
[252s] him by surprise he ends up opening the
[254s] door only to find that he's on the moon
[256s] where the entire antleon project has
[258s] gone awry according to his prediction
[260s] it's manifested a full-scale black hole
[263s] and is sucking everything in around it
[265s] now here's the thing to understand if a
[267s] black hole opened on the moon it we
[270s] would die so fast we wouldn't even be
[271s] able to understand what had happened
[273s] right like literally it would just
[274s] probably be a flash of light and like
[276s] that's it that's all we would see but
[278s] the thing about this is that once Dr
[280s] Doom of course the next morning he's
[281s] basically told hey we have Steve that uh
[284s] he ends up going to find where Steve is
[286s] basically just kind of strung up
[288s] and he's like make sure he's fed today
[290s] tomorrow we might not feed him but today
[292s] make sure he's fed and so as Dr Doom is
[295s] kind of meditating and focusing on this
[297s] Vision that he received suddenly the
[299s] nuclear arms of of latviria fire off
[303s] right they literally just start going
[304s] off like all these nuclear weapons of
[306s] ladveria shoot off they head toward the
[309s] ant Leon uh Antion collider and
[311s] basically destroy the whole thing and
[314s] because they um because they originated
[315s] from latviria and because Dr Doom had
[318s] been like yeah man uh this the whole
[320s] this whole thing's gonna fail the
[322s] immediate suspect for all of this is Dr
[325s] Doom and these guys come swooping in
[328s] right just I mean it's it's shoot out of
[330s] the okay Corral right guns blazing the
[332s] first one to show up here is Union Jack
[334s] he doesn't really matter all that much
[335s] but he is cool right he's one of these
[337s] characters where he never really gets a
[339s] whole lot of appearances in Marvel
[340s] Comics but he is cool and it is
[342s] interesting to see him from time to time
[343s] but the funny thing about this is that
[345s] while this attack's going on suddenly
[347s] Victor Von Doom is shot by Agent Zero
[349s] now Agent Zero is a lot more capable
[351s] Maverick was one of the original
[353s] inductees into the Weapon X Program
[356s] alongside Wolverine so while he's not
[358s] necessarily on the same level as
[360s] Wolverine regarding like adamantium
[362s] bonding and all that kind of stuff he is
[364s] probably one of the single greatest
[365s] assassins and mercenaries in the
[368s] entirety of the Marvel Universe it's
[371s] crazy how good he is and he even goes as
[373s] far as to say interpol's reward right
[375s] the international police the reward just
[377s] shot up for Victor Von Doom like
[379s] literally everybody's got it out for
[381s] this guy everybody's coming for this guy
[384s] and so where Dr Doom is able to
[386s] initially get the upper hand on both
[388s] Union Jack as well as as well as
[391s] Maverick he had instructed his staff
[393s] immediately issue a surrender right
[395s] immediately tell them we're surrendering
[397s] here because the worst thing we can do
[399s] is to actually face off against these
[401s] forces because what it does is it
[402s] implies guilt right like it wouldn't it
[404s] would indicate like yes we launched the
[406s] attack and I'll be damned if any is
[408s] going to come to Liberia and give me
[410s] you're never going to take me alive
[411s] right I mean it's that kind of thing
[412s] right and so ultimately he ends up
[414s] basically just surrendering to various
[417s] forces that show up here now once he's
[419s] taken he's actually brought in by a
[421s] combination of different things the
[423s] first two are silver Sable and Amy Chen
[425s] now these two are particularly important
[428s] but only in certain circles in Marvel
[430s] Comics so silver Sable runs a group
[433s] called The Wild pack which is one part
[435s] information brokering and one part
[437s] mercenary work so they are guys that
[439s] basically travel the world they pick up
[441s] people who are supposed to be picked up
[443s] by various governmental agencies or
[445s] corporations or what have you but
[447s] because silver Sable is networked with
[449s] so many different organizations and
[451s] groups out there she's basically a
[453s] person tied into a ton of information so
[455s] even if she's not necessarily coming
[457s] after you if somebody else is coming
[459s] after you they can actually hit up
[461s] silver stable and if they're able to
[462s] offer the right price she'll give them
[464s] the information that they need the other
[466s] person that's brought here is Dr Steven
[469s] strange now the reason why Steven
[470s] strange is here is one because this
[472s] story takes place before he died and two
[475s] because as most people who are familiar
[477s] with Dr Doom and Marvel Comics know Dr
[479s] Doom and Doctor Strange have a very
[482s] strong history together the most notable
[484s] instance of the two of them working
[486s] together was when they traveled to
[488s] basically the realm of Mephisto they
[490s] traveled to hell and the story
[491s] triumphant torment in order to free Dr
[494s] Doom's mother from from mephista right
[496s] to free her soul so it could go to
[498s] heaven which they successfully did and
[499s] in fact that's something that I want you
[501s] to keep in the back of your mind because
[502s] we'll talk about that again in this
[504s] story but Dr Doom's various mystical
[506s] abilities are enough that they can match
[508s] the powers of Doctor Doom so if you want
[511s] to try some crazy you know Jedi mind
[513s] trick mysticism stuff Doctor Doom would
[515s] be there to basically bring it to an end
[516s] but as we know Doctor Doom has no real
[518s] intention of doing that now the irony
[521s] behind all this and this is the
[522s] important thing to understand based on
[524s] the visions that Dr Doom has been
[526s] getting which he doesn't really know the
[527s] origin of of it and we don't really even
[529s] know the origin of it at the moment is
[531s] that these Visions indicate somewhere
[533s] along the line Dr Doom does something
[536s] which ushers in an era of peace all
[539s] across the world and literally brings a
[541s] kind of Utopia that had never been seen
[544s] before and so that's why Dr Doom 1
[547s] allows himself to surrender because he's
[549s] kind of curious about where these
[550s] Visions are leading but two Kane the
[552s] Conqueror suddenly appears inside this
[555s] ship where Dr Doom's at and it's one of
[557s] those things where literally Kings like
[559s] I've seen your future right years from
[561s] now you're the magnanimous leader of an
[563s] eternally peaceful Earth and it would be
[565s] the most preferable Earth for me to
[567s] conquer and so that's kind of the on
[568s] running theme like King the Conqueror
[570s] will appear more over the course of the
[572s] story and really if anything he kind of
[574s] shows up I mean Dr Doom does fight him a
[576s] couple times but he shows up more often
[578s] than not in order to help Doom because
[581s] he's like the things that you're gonna
[582s] do are basically going to make the earth
[584s] a Utopia but it's also going to make the
[587s] Earth weaker and it makes it easier for
[588s] me to conquer so like here's some stuff
[590s] to help you because in helping you I'm
[592s] helping myself right like that's really
[594s] what he does for a good chunk of the
[596s] story and it's hilarious the times that
[598s] he shows up it's funny but one of the
[600s] things that Doom says is okay if this
[601s] future you see is true and it matches
[604s] the visions that I've been having then
[605s] free me right like if you want to be
[607s] able to conquer the Earth in the future
[608s] because of what I'll end up doing then
[610s] free me and get me out of here and so
[612s] one of the things that they do is they
[614s] sabotage the the engines of the vessel
[616s] and then they basically Escape now you
[618s] guys are probably asking yourself why
[620s] don't they just teleport out of it the
[621s] reality is when you're dealing with king
[623s] marvel plays it fast and loose right if
[625s] Kang basically destroyed or or sabotaged
[629s] the engines it's because in looking over
[631s] all the different timelines it's the
[633s] only one where they successfully Escape
[635s] that's kind of the undercurrent that
[636s] Marvel uses right like King does
[638s] everything he does for a particular
[639s] reason but the reality is that once this
[641s] is done basically King teleports away
[643s] and Doctor Doom casts a mysticism in
[646s] order to save himself following that he
[648s] literally goes underground he Dawns a
[650s] kind of mask and hides himself and he
[652s] takes off to the city of New York now
[654s] when he gets there he basically ends up
[656s] encountering what are these sort of
[658s] visions of Morgan lafay now these
[660s] Visions come in the form of her
[661s] appearing on in like Times Square on TV
[663s] screens different things like that only
[665s] Doctor Doom can see her this is one of
[667s] those elements of Marvel Comics that's
[668s] really cool Morgan lafay has been around
[671s] for an exceedingly long time and in fact
[673s] she's been around about the same time as
[675s] Merlin in Marvel Comics and the thing
[678s] about this is she actually originates
[680s] from Atlantis or at least the Atlantean
[682s] territories before the gray cataclysm
[684s] during the second host when the
[686s] celestial showed up and then attacked
[687s] the deviants that is to say she's been
[690s] around for thousands of years and she's
[693s] incredibly powerful she's not the most
[695s] powerful person ever but it's kind of a
[697s] loose knit family between like her and
[699s] Dr Doom and Doctor Strange and like the
[701s] Scarlet Witch and brother Voodoo people
[703s] like that just these people that
[704s] practice like magic and mysticism which
[706s] is really weird when you think about it
[707s] because like there was a time when
[709s] Morgan lafaye and Doctor Doom banged so
[711s] that's kind of cool but the thing about
[712s] this is that while all that's going on
[714s] what you end up having is Reed Richards
[717s] of the Fantastic Four while it's off
[718s] panel he comes to the realization that
[720s] if Doctor Doom has actually escaped and
[722s] Dr Doom's out there on the lamb then
[724s] what they need is someone who's every
[726s] bit as intelligent as Doctor Doom
[728s] meaning this person is one it like kind
[730s] of shares the number one spot for the
[732s] smartest person in the Marvel Universe
[734s] but is also immensely powerful powerful
[737s] enough that they can stand toe-to-toe
[739s] with Dr Doom and so what you end up
[741s] having is Herbie the robot who's kind of
[743s] like the robotic assistant of the
[744s] Fantastic Four basically traveling to
[747s] Cornell and meeting with Adam Brashear
[749s] and bringing Adam Brashear in as a
[752s] person that can actually capture Dr Doom
[755s] now a lot of people are going to ask the
[757s] question how in the world is it that
[758s] like blue Marvel is on the same level as
[760s] Doctor Doom is this just something
[762s] you're making it up Rob I'm not making
[764s] this up at all and the reason why I say
[765s] that is because there's a point when
[767s] blue Marvel is meeting with with Herbie
[769s] and you know at that point you know blue
[772s] Marvel's like okay so Reed Richards is
[773s] finally taking me seriously and Herbie's
[775s] like well you were the top available
[776s] right like you were just you were the
[778s] next best choice which is kind of a
[781s] crappy way to put it but then Herbie
[782s] also goes on to say you match Doctor
[784s] Doom in intellect and strength
[786s] especially since he's without his powers
[789s] now the way that Herbie's drawing this
[791s] information is based on the information
[793s] that Reed Richards has in his database
[796s] what that means is that in Marvel Comics
[798s] what Christopher Cantwell is
[800s] establishing here that Reed Richards is
[802s] one well aware of who Adam Brashear is
[804s] which is something that we already knew
[805s] and then two looking at Adam Brashear
[808s] the blue Marvel top to bottom from his
[810s] intelligence to his strength to his
[812s] powers and so on Reed is basically
[814s] established that blue Marvel is as
[816s] intelligent and capable as Doctor Doom
[818s] what this means is that blue Marvel
[820s] shares the number one spot as the
[823s] smartest person in the world with Reed
[825s] Richards Doctor Doom and Valeria
[827s] Richards right right it's a really cool
[829s] moment this is one of those things that
[831s] you're probably going to see people
[832s] referencing when other folks ask the
[833s] question where does blue Marvel reside
[835s] in terms of intelligence strength so on
[837s] and so forth and so following this what
[839s] you end up doing is picking back up with
[840s] doom while he's traveling with Morgan
[842s] lafay and they travel to meet a guy
[844s] called the witness now this is the one
[847s] and only appearance of the witness at
[849s] least in this form that I'm aware of in
[850s] Marvel Comics but the idea behind this
[853s] guy is he can basically look into the
[854s] eyes of another person and then see
[857s] exactly what their future is and what
[859s] the witness says is that Dr Doom is
[861s] going to die and it's the saddest day on
[863s] Earth is absolutely beautiful but we
[865s] don't really find out exactly how this
[867s] death happens but what it does seem to
[869s] do is kind of fall in line with the
[871s] visions that Dr Doom's been having where
[873s] he becomes this person that literally
[875s] saves the world that it would be a
[878s] tragic and sad day because the world
[879s] would have lost somebody's significant
[881s] to them the kicker is that before any of
[884s] this goes down and any other questions
[885s] can be asked Dr Doom is killed on the
[888s] spot and he's actually assassinated and
[891s] the person who takes him out is none
[892s] other than task master Tony Masters I
[896s] told you this story gets amazing now
[898s] again in this moment what ends up
[900s] happening is because Dr Doom is by all
[902s] standards the measurement dead he wakes
[904s] up in hell he wakes up in the realm of
[906s] Mephisto and traveling there he
[909s] basically Dawns this kind of Hell armor
[911s] which I gotta tell you guys is probably
[914s] the second most badass doctor dudes ever
[917s] looked the only thing better than this
[919s] was when he was God King Doom so he
[921s] basically had his normal outfit but it
[923s] was all white which was dope and I'm
[926s] surprised no one's cosplayed as God King
[928s] Doom at any Comic Cons it kind of
[931s] astounds me but this looks dope oh my
[934s] God like it looks so obese but what ends
[937s] up happening is Doctor Doom comes face
[939s] to face with Mephisto now the thing
[941s] about this is Doctor Doom tells him
[942s] right off the bat I'm not supposed to be
[944s] here and the response of Mephisto is
[946s] that's what they all say but I'm glad to
[948s] have your your soul now and forever and
[951s] Doctor Doom immediately attacks Mephisto
[953s] now here's the thing to understand about
[954s] Mephisto right this guy is a misnomer
[957s] when it comes to how powerful the Fisto
[959s] is with with Mephisto himself he is at
[962s] the peak of his power when he's in his
[964s] own realm but he's not indestructible
[966s] and he's not Unstoppable but the thing
[969s] about this is that Doctor Doom is
[971s] immensely powerful the reality here is
[973s] Doctor Doom's not powerful enough to
[975s] overcome Mephisto to beat him in his own
[977s] realm like this and so what kind of goes
[979s] on here is a bit of bouncing back and
[981s] forth where Mephisto starts playing
[983s] games with Dr Doom now one of the other
[985s] things that I want to establish here is
[987s] really kind of more of a background of
[988s] what's taking place is that you do have
[991s] the kingdom of latviria where Doctor
[993s] Doom normally resides what you have next
[995s] to it is a place called simcaria and
[997s] socari has kind of been a war-torn place
[999s] for quite some time only recently has it
[1002s] actually established any measure of an
[1003s] organized government and so what's going
[1005s] on here is that simcaria is actually
[1007s] actually organizing battle formations
[1009s] and they're in the process of trying to
[1011s] conquer Liberia while Dr Doom is not
[1014s] there so that's an important plot point
[1016s] to keep in mind again we're not going to
[1017s] be talking a lot about that but we will
[1019s] talk about it at the end because it does
[1021s] become incredibly important at the end
[1022s] of this but the thing about this kind of
[1024s] focusing on the Here and Now what
[1025s] Mephisto does is he tells Dr Doom if you
[1028s] can convince Valeria that you deserve to
[1031s] live then you can return to your life
[1033s] now here's the thing Valeria there's two
[1035s] different ones there's Valeria Richards
[1037s] who's the daughter of Reed Richards and
[1038s] then there's a different Valeria so no
[1040s] we're not talking about you know Valeria
[1042s] Richards right this 11 year old kid that
[1044s] Dr Doom was in love with that's weird
[1046s] right that's weird and creepy and really
[1048s] really gross Valeria is a character
[1050s] who's exceedingly old school in Marvel
[1052s] Comics and in fact she goes all the way
[1054s] back to Marvel Superheroes number 20 in
[1056s] 1969 Valeria was a person who lived in
[1059s] the same camp that Dr Doom did when he
[1062s] was a little kid they were basically you
[1064s] know they they kind of fell in love as
[1065s] teenagers as much as anybody could but
[1067s] it's not Dr Doom became consumed by
[1069s] Vengeance and power Valeria basically
[1072s] left him behind right she just didn't
[1073s] want to be a part of that life and as a
[1075s] result of that she eventually fled Dr
[1077s] Doom caught up to her and basically
[1079s] convinced her that he was going to leave
[1080s] all that Madness behind and all he
[1083s] wanted was her love and a life and so
[1086s] she ultimately bought into it what was
[1087s] really going on and probably one of the
[1089s] most just amazing stories that Mark raid
[1092s] ever wrote In The Fantastic Four back in
[1094s] volume three back in 2003 the idea here
[1097s] is that what Dr Doom had done is he had
[1099s] actually tricked Valeria and he
[1101s] effectively sold her soul behind her
[1104s] back so that he could attain mystical
[1106s] armor right enhance his powers and so
[1108s] when that happened her soul was sent to
[1110s] the realm of Mephisto it was a pretty
[1112s] shady thing to do and that's why
[1114s] Mephisto makes this claim if you can
[1117s] convince the only woman in the world who
[1119s] ever loved you that you betrayed her
[1121s] that you deserve life then I will give
[1123s] it to you and that's the crazy thing is
[1125s] Victor Von Doom tries to do it any even
[1128s] tries to rationalize his actions no no I
[1130s] needed that because I'm going to make
[1132s] the world a better place I'm going to
[1133s] make the world a way more interesting
[1134s] place your your soul right Eternal
[1137s] damnation for you that was a sacrifice I
[1139s] was willing to make in order to make
[1141s] that happen right the needs of the many
[1143s] outweigh the needs of the few the
[1145s] reality here is he's not really
[1147s] apologetic for it and so in spewing all
[1149s] this stuff about everything he's seen
[1151s] suddenly you end up having Valeria that
[1154s] transforms into a demon really in like
[1156s] really Mephisto this kind of been
[1157s] impersonating her and then the like
[1159s] really tormenting Dr Doom and it's like
[1161s] I've seen this life that you say you've
[1163s] seen Doctor Doom I see how you save
[1164s] everything and so on and so forth you're
[1166s] never going to attain it that's going to
[1168s] be your damnation here right your
[1170s] eternal torment is going to be that you
[1173s] know without a shadow of a doubt that
[1175s] your one dream in this world actually
[1177s] comes true that you become this leader
[1179s] of this Earth You Lead it into Utopia
[1182s] you become everything that you believe
[1184s] yourself to be and you're never going to
[1186s] be able to attain it that that's going
[1188s] to be your health and so literally a
[1190s] fight breaks out between the two and
[1192s] it's pretty knocked down drag out but in
[1194s] the middle of all this mistress death
[1195s] appears and is like done this fight's
[1197s] over right he will return to his life
[1199s] Mephisto now here's the thing even
[1201s] Mephisto himself regardless of any level
[1204s] his level of power he has is not stupid
[1206s] enough to fight mistress death She's the
[1209s] literal living embodiment of death all
[1212s] she has to do is will it and Mephisto
[1214s] ceases to exist that's it I mean that's
[1217s] literally what you're talking about here
[1218s] so not even he is stupid enough to
[1220s] invoke her ire and the funny thing about
[1222s] this is that where Dr Doom asks right
[1224s] like are you doing this so that I can
[1226s] truly go back to Earth and become the
[1228s] person that saves it and her response is
[1230s] no it's because you will become my
[1233s] greatest servant of all you will bring a
[1235s] level of death and destruction that the
[1237s] world has never seen it's a crazy thing
[1239s] because what ends up happening is that
[1241s] after this whole circumstance arrives or
[1243s] it really ends that Doctor Doom wakes up
[1246s] in the home of Morgan lafay who had
[1248s] taken his body back to her apartment and
[1249s] of course the two of them are joined by
[1251s] by Blue Marvel now as soon as Dr Doom
[1254s] sees Adam Brashear he immediately fires
[1257s] on him and gets him out of there because
[1258s] Doctor Doom knows how powerful Adam
[1260s] Brashear is he knows how capable he is
[1263s] and if a true knockdown drag out fight
[1265s] between the two happens that given his
[1267s] current circumstance it's highly
[1269s] unlikely that Dr Doom will be able to
[1271s] overpower Adam Brashear and basically
[1273s] keep him from from being arrested right
[1275s] so that's why he literally sends him
[1277s] flying in the moment to sort of get him
[1279s] out of the way at that point yet again
[1281s] Kate the Conqueror pops up
[1284s] Kane the Conqueror appears and it's one
[1286s] of those things where it's kind of an
[1288s] information brokering right at that
[1289s] point doctor Doom's like okay King I
[1291s] need you to Rattle your brain I need you
[1292s] to tell me what timelines there are
[1295s] where I was successfully killed in this
[1297s] moment Here and Now not five days ago
[1299s] right not 50 minutes ago if this moment
[1302s] right now I need to know who it was that
[1304s] killed me and the response of King is it
[1306s] was Tasman master and he was hired by
[1309s] Advanced idea mechanics and so what
[1311s] literally ends up happening here is Dr
[1313s] Doom finds the base of advanced idea
[1315s] mechanics right he literally breaks in
[1317s] he steals their weapons and starts
[1320s] shooting the place up he kills everyone
[1322s] right he does he like every single
[1324s] soldier they have they all die now
[1327s] here's the thing I had previously stated
[1329s] that Dr Doom without his powers is
[1332s] basically useless I was wrong right I
[1335s] was 100 wrong unlike most people on the
[1337s] internet I can admit when I'm wrong when
[1339s] I'm when I think I'm wrong unfortunately
[1342s] I usually never think I'm wrong so I
[1343s] usually never admit when I am wrong just
[1345s] kidding but here's one of the things
[1346s] right I never really considered Doctor
[1348s] Doom to be capable when he didn't have
[1349s] his arms and Armament this dude's a
[1351s] beast man this guy's rolling through
[1353s] here with just with just the biggest gun
[1355s] I've ever seen killing everyone he sees
[1359s] right just overpowering them all he
[1360s] duplicates himself several times over
[1362s] and all those different forces right all
[1365s] those different versions of himself
[1366s] start attacking all the these different
[1367s] soldiers so we still use those powers to
[1369s] a degree but at the end of the day it
[1371s] comes down to him and Taskmaster now
[1372s] this is when you really get to see what
[1374s] Dr Doom is capable of I never believed
[1376s] he was good when it came to hand-to-hand
[1378s] combat mostly because you never really
[1379s] see him doing hand-to-hand combat it's
[1381s] always like you know I'm Dr Doom and
[1383s] magical spells and just badassery all
[1386s] over the place that's usually all you
[1387s] ever see but seeing him facing off
[1389s] against Taskmaster like this and
[1391s] overcoming Tony Masters is impressive as
[1394s] hell right it's a pretty pretty cool
[1396s] thing because remember when you're
[1398s] fighting against Taskmaster you're not
[1400s] just fighting Tony Masters you're
[1402s] fighting everyone Tony Masters has ever
[1404s] fought right so you're fighting Captain
[1406s] America Spider-Man Deadpool Wolverine
[1410s] like all these different characters
[1411s] because this is a Rolodex he just pulls
[1413s] those fighting styles out and depending
[1415s] on the circumstance especially when he
[1416s] was fighting black panther he actually
[1418s] merged all those fighting styles into
[1420s] one to where he would punch like Captain
[1422s] America but he would Dodge like
[1423s] Spider-Man and he would kick like
[1425s] Deadpool it was cool man it was it was
[1427s] one of the coolest things just some
[1429s] amazing moments that you see in Marvel
[1430s] Comics and so once Dr Doom gets the
[1432s] upper hand on Taskmaster knowing that
[1434s] taskmaster's mission was quote unquote
[1436s] finished with Dr Doom the next thing he
[1438s] wants to know is who are you supposed to
[1440s] go after next right because he literally
[1441s] asked him who hired Advanced idea
[1443s] mechanics to kill me right that's what I
[1445s] want to know who hired them to take me
[1447s] out who hired you to take me out and
[1449s] where he initially won't give that
[1450s] explanation the reality here is Doctor
[1452s] Doom's smart enough to know that if
[1454s] Taskmaster is going after Doctor Doom
[1456s] then Taskmaster is also going after
[1458s] people associated with Dr Doom and so
[1461s] that's when he's like I want to know who
[1462s] this is who is it you're supposed to go
[1464s] after next and that's when he says it's
[1465s] for Xena right it's a woman named for
[1467s] Xena and at that moment Doctor Doom
[1469s] basically ends up realizing there's a
[1471s] much bigger thing going on here and
[1473s] immediately goes after that chick right
[1475s] immediately goes after for Xena now the
[1477s] other thing that takes place here is
[1478s] kind of working his ranks up right
[1480s] basically continuing to take out task
[1481s] master as well as what seemingly the
[1483s] rest of advanced idea mechanics he's met
[1485s] by the arrival of Modoc now Modoc
[1488s] doesn't really offer much in the way of
[1489s] a challenge here for Dr Doom he kind of
[1491s] does but he kind of doesn't he tries to
[1492s] shoot him with like a mental blast Dr
[1494s] Doom has the shield of Taskmaster and
[1496s] his sword he just stabs Modoc in the
[1498s] chest but this killing is also a long
[1500s] time coming because remember Modoc was
[1502s] part of Intelligentsia which was the
[1504s] organization that stripped Doctor Doom
[1506s] of his intelligence if you're not
[1507s] familiar with that storyline we're
[1509s] actually covering it right now in my
[1510s] videos on Jonathan Hickman's Fantastic
[1512s] Four so we'll post a link to that video
[1514s] down in the playlist but in the midst of
[1516s] all this you end up picking up on
[1518s] Liberty Island now Liberty Island is a
[1520s] place that has these kind of weather
[1522s] stations that are being created or being
[1524s] used by this woman named for Xena and
[1526s] the idea behind this is it's basically
[1528s] an attempt even if only in a smaller
[1530s] localized space to basically control
[1532s] weather in Marvel Comics that kind of
[1534s] stuff happens all the time it's not
[1536s] really a new thing it's not really
[1537s] Landmark it's just something that
[1538s] Christopher cantwell's throwing in here
[1540s] to show what she's doing but in the
[1541s] midst of all this one of the things that
[1542s] we learned is she is from latviria and
[1545s] we know this because there are
[1546s] discussion does it take place between
[1548s] her and the people around her where they
[1550s] ask questions like you know is Doctor
[1552s] Doom really an effective leader you know
[1554s] is it a good thing that he's gone that
[1556s] kind of stuff and she's like understand
[1557s] right the law of sedition and rendition
[1559s] those individuals who speak ill of
[1561s] latviria and its leader especially
[1563s] Liberian citizens will literally be
[1565s] tossed in some kind of a re-education
[1567s] camp I don't want to be one of those
[1569s] guys so I'm going to go back to doing
[1570s] what I was doing right that kind of a
[1571s] thing it's just kind of bred into them
[1573s] in terms of how they function the other
[1575s] part of this here is that while you do
[1577s] have Doctor Doom in a library who's
[1579s] basically reading up on for Xena the
[1581s] reason why this name is so significant
[1582s] comes when he's visited by Kane the
[1585s] Conqueror yet again and when when the
[1587s] the two of them really start talking is
[1589s] Doctor Doom saying in these visions that
[1592s] I had the woman that I end up marrying
[1594s] is for Xena like that's the person that
[1596s] I end up marrying and that I end up
[1597s] having a life with so the reality is if
[1600s] she's a target of advanced idea
[1601s] mechanics and they're looking to kill
[1603s] her by using Taskmaster or somebody I've
[1605s] got to find a way to keep her alive
[1607s] she's supposed to end up becoming my
[1609s] wife and so this is a really significant
[1611s] moment here and there's actually history
[1612s] between Doctor Doom and forsina
[1614s] indirectly and the reason why this
[1616s] happens is because you do have a little
[1618s] bit of a skirmish that takes place
[1620s] between Dr Doom and Kane the Conqueror
[1622s] but the significance of this really
[1624s] comes in the form of the fact that when
[1625s] Dr Doom ends up visiting for Xena she
[1628s] initially rebukes him right I mean at
[1629s] first she's kind of like oh my God it's
[1631s] Lord Doctor Doom you know that kind of a
[1632s] thing but once the veil goes away and he
[1634s] tells her just address me like a regular
[1636s] person she doesn't like him and in fact
[1637s] she hates him because he tells her like
[1640s] I've had visions and you and I are
[1641s] supposed to get married which is one way
[1643s] to propose right just like run up on a
[1645s] random chick hey random woman over there
[1647s] I've had Visions we're supposed to get
[1648s] married uh you want to get hitched right
[1651s] that's not gonna work
[1653s] but the reason why frezina hates Doctor
[1655s] Doom is because there was a point during
[1657s] doomor when Dr Doom had invaded wakanda
[1660s] and stole its vibranium that a
[1662s] journalist in Liberia had spoken out
[1664s] against Dr Doom because of that and what
[1667s] Dr Doom had done is he had jailed that
[1669s] guy basically for forced Edition right
[1671s] for speaking ill of vladviria and of
[1674s] Doctor Doom and that guy is still
[1675s] serving a prison sentence that guy is
[1678s] the father of farsina and that's why she
[1680s] hates Dr Doom because the guy was just
[1682s] doing his job and the price he paid is
[1684s] is basically a life of imprisonment and
[1687s] even Dr Doom goes as far as to say I
[1688s] should have had your father executed for
[1690s] what he did just be happy in the fact
[1692s] that I didn't and I was feeling
[1694s] particularly generous now that's the
[1696s] most Doctor Doom thing to say to be
[1698s] honest with you but in the midst of all
[1700s] this a couple things happen the first is
[1702s] that you basically have the arrival of
[1704s] Adam Brashear alongside Herbie and then
[1706s] you have the arrival of silver Sable and
[1708s] Victorious now I've kind of held off on
[1711s] talking about them up to this point the
[1712s] way things that played out with their
[1714s] characters is that Victorious was kind
[1716s] of like the second in command to Doctor
[1718s] Doom whenever he's not in Liberia she's
[1720s] the one who runs the show and so where
[1722s] you basically had the samkarians who
[1724s] were attempting to invade latviria
[1725s] successfully did so and then took over
[1727s] the country that Victorious was
[1729s] basically ousted but the other part of
[1731s] this is that silver Sable being as smart
[1733s] as she is had realized something else is
[1736s] going on here and she was actually being
[1738s] used and so she and Victorious work
[1741s] together to try to find Doctor Doom so
[1743s] they could basically put all their
[1744s] information together and figure out what
[1746s] the bigger picture is now of course blue
[1748s] Marvel being here is just for the
[1750s] purpose of trying to you know to grab
[1752s] Doctor Doom and it's really an amazing
[1753s] moment because a fight breaks out
[1755s] between the two and Adam Brashear holds
[1757s] his own against Doctor Doom and that's
[1759s] one of the things that I hope you notice
[1760s] here in terms of Doctor Doom facing off
[1762s] against uh against Blue Marvel it's
[1764s] really him just trying to hold off the
[1766s] power of Adam Brashear and this is due
[1768s] to the fact that in this moment Doctor
[1770s] Doom is not as powerful as Adam Brashear
[1773s] it's a pretty cool moment right it's a
[1774s] pretty cool and badass thing we're
[1776s] literally blue Marvel is more powerful
[1779s] than Dr Doom In This Moment now of
[1781s] course yet again K the Conqueror shows
[1783s] up
[1784s] I told you he would show up at like the
[1787s] funniest moments and at the most
[1788s] inopportune times what's really cool
[1790s] though is that this is an exceedingly
[1792s] opportune time he shows up here with
[1794s] just this insane weapon and it's like
[1796s] okay Doctor Doom this is for you because
[1798s] remember you gotta live so that you can
[1800s] make the world easier to conquer for me
[1801s] like I told you as his whole motivation
[1803s] is showing up here strictly for that and
[1805s] in fact what you end up having is Adam
[1807s] Brashear who immediately attacks Kane
[1810s] the Conqueror because Kane the Conqueror
[1812s] destroys Herbie and so in that moment
[1814s] Adam Brashear like the blue Marvel kills
[1816s] Kane the Conqueror right he kills him on
[1818s] the spot just incinerates that guy and
[1821s] that's when doctor Doom's like okay yeah
[1822s] we gotta get out of here like we gotta
[1824s] find a way to bail the other part of
[1825s] this though is that no one's prepared
[1827s] for what comes next because what happens
[1829s] here is that with Kane the Conqueror it
[1831s] wasn't simply just a weapon in that he
[1833s] gave Dr Doom what he also gave him was
[1836s] an advanced suit of armor from his own
[1838s] timeline right from Kang's own timeline
[1840s] in doing that what it does is it
[1843s] restores Victor Von Doom back to his
[1845s] full power he's got the full run of his
[1848s] technology combined with his mysticism
[1850s] and advanced Weaponry from Kane the
[1853s] Conqueror blue Marble's like look here's
[1855s] the thing Doom we have to put these
[1856s] grievances aside this black hole is
[1858s] going to emerge everything's going nuts
[1860s] with the antleon collider we have to do
[1862s] something and the response of Doctor
[1864s] Doom is no like I'm not going to do that
[1866s] I'm going to go home and I'm gonna take
[1868s] care of my country Reed Richards wanted
[1870s] to be the one to run the show that let
[1871s] Reid Richards run the show and if the
[1873s] entirety of the project goes awry and a
[1875s] black hole Singularity opens at the Moon
[1877s] I will deal with it and I will take care
[1880s] of it but I will take care of it because
[1881s] I'm better than he is but I want the
[1883s] world to know that Reed Richards is a
[1885s] failure I want the world to know that
[1887s] he's nowhere near as capable as I am
[1889s] literally Doctor Doom is willing to
[1892s] potentially see the Earth destroyed just
[1894s] to make Reed Richards look bad but with
[1897s] that being said guys we're gonna bring
