Day 3! Got way more responses than i expected on my last posts and couldnt get to everyone so heres the answers to the most common questions i kept seeing.
Workflow: Opus 4.6 writes prompts → Gemini creates 2D images → Meshy AI turns them into 3D models → Claude cleans them up in Blender (polygon reduction) → into Unity for testing. Every asset goes through this. I tried skipping Meshy and having Claude do 3D directly in Blender but it couldnt nail the look.
Animations: The models come out of Meshy with no skeletons. Claude handles rigging in Blender, then i test in Unity and go back and forth a lot. "Make it more squishy," "lean more side to side," stuff like that. Also had Claude research games with the feel i wanted.
Claude setup: Desktop app, no MCP or CLI. Claude just drives Blender and Unity through my computer.
Which model: Opus 4.6 for brainstorming (more creative than newer versions imo), Fable 5 for planning, Opus 4.8 for coding.
Art style: Drew a terrible sketch, uploaded it to Claude, had it write a detailed Gemini prompt, nitpicked until i liked it. Every prompt after that references the same style for consistency.
Long term: Ultimately im trying to learn how to actually code, or at least understand it, use Blender myself and not rely on AI generated images. For now though im pretty impressed with what im able to do with only AI, a decent workflow and some creativity.

## Comments

**ClaudeAI-mod-bot:** TL;DR of the discussion generated automatically after 30 comments.
The consensus is that this is seriously impressive for just three days of work. The community is blown away by the progress and especially the consistent, cozy art style, which many agree is a rare achievement for AI-generated projects.
While the praise is high, the hivemind did offer some helpful feedback: * Technical Polish: Users noticed some physics issues (clipping through objects) and performance stutters (FPS drops), suggesting a need for optimization down the line. * Robotic Dialogue: The in-game text currently reads as very AI-generated. The advice is to hand-write the dialogue later to give it more personality. * Asset Placement: Minor issues like object scaling (a door smaller than the character) were pointed out, but everyone agrees with OP's plan to focus on core mechanics first and polish later.
Your detailed workflow breakdown was a huge hit, with many thanking you for sharing the secret sauce. The use of Meshy AI for 3D assets was seen as a key, and often overlooked, step. For those wondering about the cost, OP is spending roughly $140/month on subscriptions for Claude, Gemini, and Meshy.
Overall, the thread is full of support and sees this as a fantastic example of how AI can empower creative people to bring their ideas to life without years of technical training. Keep up the great work, OP

**TheOnlyVibemaster:** A couple tips, looks like physics isn’t respected between some objects entirely. Being able to go through things instead of them physically reacting. Also optimization could use some work, stuttering is also an issue. Seems that FPS is dropping but I think it’s more of an optimization issue like I said.
Good work so far. Reminds me of a couple different games.

**Gambo7592:** Thanks so much for the feedback and help! I really appreciate it 😊 I plan on grinding this weekend and will probably post an update next week. Cheers!

**Pakspul:** Three days?!?!!!! Damn!! This really looks good! You should me proud of yourself!

**Gambo7592:** Thank you I really am! Probably about 20 hours of work so far, I don't work my job on weekends so im about to grind the next few days 😅

**Pakspul:** I use Claude a lot to program professionally and then I see this and think, damn, you can do so much more with it then is possible! I like it how it gives a tool to people to realise things with it.

**maxquordleplee3n:** A cynic might say this was an ad for Meshy AI

**Gambo7592:** God i wish I got paid for this 😭 Plus the amount of Meshy ads ive seen on here, they dont need me lmao

**ArchitectNebulous:** If you don't mind me asking, how much are you paying for subscriptions, and how much have you paid for Fable planning.

**Gambo7592:** I dont mind! I work on other projects as well so not all of my usage goes towards this atm but per month:
$100 - Claude Max $20 - Gemini $20 - Meshy
With Claude in particular using Fable to write instructions and Plan while occasionally letting it fix issues that opus might struggle with, I rarely hit my weekly limit for both Fable and other models.

**SenzuYT:** Looks cool!
One thing I’d give feedback on: the text and dialogue reads as extremely AI-generated.
"This thing. That thing. You answered." And some other examples from that short video are very obvious to anyone who uses AI often
I would try and mix it up a bit over time. But cool project, good luck!

**Gambo7592:** Appreciate it yeah all that is filler atm. Im focusing on the mechanics and game play/feel first and when im happy with that will start writing. Im super excited to do so, writing is a small passion of mine and will certainly not have ai writing in the final product. Thanks again, cheers!

**TechnicalBen:** Godspeed. And best wishes.

**j3y3m3:** have you tried other 3d generators besides Meshy?

**Gambo7592:** No i haven't do have experience with any others? Would be willing to give something else a try

**CashFirm573:** I like what you have done so far it's rather cool, I know only 3 days few things I noticed object placement I'm sure you noticed as well, the water, the paths, object sizing (housing door being smaller then the character model ahaha). I really wanna see this project do well so hopefully this helps if you hadn't already spotted those issues.

**Gambo7592:** I appreciate the advice! Yes I've noticed most of those things, for now I'm focusing on game mechanics, storyline and making sure it's fun. Then going back for polish and fixes like that. I really welcome the feedback and thanks for the support!

**lockdown_lard:** > for now I'm focusing on game mechanics, storyline and making sure it's fun
for now I'm focusing on game mechanics, storyline and making sure it's fun
Ah there's the magic. You've hit on the important three things. Get those right, and the other stuff really is just small stuff.
Ultimately, if the game's more fun if (say) a character is twice the size of the door, who cares? It's a better game for it!

**Gambo7592:** I appreciate the kind words! Thank you

**slickricksghost:** Following... I don't know what the point of the game is, but i like that when you sweep the dust politely relocates.

**tastychaii:** What is Meshy AI used for?

**feng_sg:** Save your style prompt somewhere outside the chat because if the session resets you lose the one thing keeping every asset consistent.

**Gambo7592:** I appreciate the advice! I have a prompt.md in the project that claude references anytime im making new images as well as a style/ theme guide to reference as well. that way when i move chats i dont have to worry

**West-Particular-8528:** You say you use claude -> blender without MCP, how does this work?

**arlukin:** You say that “Claude cleans them up in Blender” when talking about your models. If I may ask, what polycount do you typically start with, and what do you reduce it to? And what kind of tools in Blender does Claude use?
I saw your post the other day and bought myself a Meshy account. I’m trying to build a few cyberpunk-ish house assets.
But
- The Smart Topology looks like shit.
- 900,000 polygons looks nice, but I can’t really put that into my game.
- The remesh to 15,000 polygons in Meshy looks like shit.
- I’ve tried a few different tools to reduce the polycount in Blender, but the results still look like shit.
- Gemini renders images with a lot of pixel blur/anti-aliasing. So I tried a few tools to reduce that, hoping that Meshy would be able to generate better models. No success so far.
Do I need to learn retopolgy by hand in Blender ;-(

**laplace_apps:** Tbh, I'm trying to build a game with ai too, and some people think this is stupid and lame and sk easy. Yes it is easy, but this is the world we are living now.
Designing website used to take months Designing game used to take years.
Now it is so much faster, but it is still takes time or you need to learn how to connect things to each other for workflow. But listen these takes time and effort too. Yes smaller time and effort but it is still takes it.
Now, if someone comes and says "well I can do it too" I go: "why didnt you" or "go ahead what is stopped you until now"
To me, there is always big difference between people who trying to climb a mountain & people who sit at the ground and watch them and pray for them to fall.
Anyway. Good luck everyone on their projects and ideas

**look_at_my_cucumber:** thank you for giving me idea into your workflow. most just keeps it quiet. i want to create a game with my niece over this weekend. i'll give this a try.

**Gambo7592:** Absolutely! Im more than happy to share what I've learned, good luck on building 😊

**Raredisarray:** Those blobs are so satisfying to watch them walk around

**Overthinker9767:** Nice art style

**TheGiantAntEater:** Nice ui

**JustRaphiGaming:** Actually this whole AI thing is pretty cool it allows creative people to create something without the gatekeeping of having IT knowledge.

**JubX:** Wow I have not been able to do art anywhere close to this with Claude. I'll need to explore your workflow for my game.

**60finch:** I wanna create a mascot for my mobile app, does meshy ai help on that? For motions as well?

**Gambo7592:** Im using a combination of meshy and blender so not sure if tou can 100% do everything in meshy tbh

**GauravThorath:** Good call locking the style reference into every prompt. That's the thing people skip until it's expensive to fix.
Next place it breaks, from doing this with generated character scenes: consistency holds within a batch and drifts between batches. Everything you make this week will match. Add a pet in three weeks and it'll be subtly off, palette a touch warmer, different edge shading, and it won't look wrong on its own, only next to the older assets. By then you have 40 assets and no appetite to redo them.
Cheap insurance is to keep one already-approved asset in frame as a comparison every time you generate a new one, and to save the exact prompt plus reference set that produced each asset, not just the output. When something drifts you want to diff the inputs, and "I nitpicked until I liked it" isn't recoverable three weeks later.

**No_Might_7685:** What is your total Costs until now? I mean meshy and I guess Claude 5 max? It looks absolutely adorable btw :D
